• The text of these files is taken from the booklet Seven Roads to Hell by assorted authors as listed on each article. The articles besides the "Introduction" and "Questions" first appeared as articles in the Ave Maria magazine as a series of Lenten instructions. They were collected in book form and published by Ave Maria Press, Notre Dame, Indiana in 1961. A scan of the edition used is available at archive.org.
• The book has the Imprimatur of Bishop Leo Aloysius Pursley, Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend, Indiana, February, 1961.
• The cover image is a scan of the booklet's cover. The interior images are from the collection of drawings of The Seven Deadly Sins by Jacques Callot, c.1622. The originals are in the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam, Netherlands, and these images were swiped from Wikimedia Commons.
